Parents of a severely disabled girl in the US have revealed that they are keeping her child-sized in order to give her a better life.

Initially this may seem like a violation but if she is mentally a child (mental growth of 3 months) what does she need periods for? Why does she need to grow to “normal” size? And that would be normal for her physical age not her mental and emotional age.

I’m not saying this was an easy decision for anyone but some of the reaction I’ve heard sounded only a pitchfork away from a mob.
