Gadget Porn

I was somewhat disturbed by the strap line to the new online mag Gizmo
Turned on by Technology
It felt a bit pervy to be honest. But on second look it said
Turned on TO Technology
Which I guess is a different thing. So was it a Freudian slip? Am I wanting to be turned on by technology? Hopefully not, I firmly believe that it was an expectation thing; I kind of expected Gizmo to be an online version of Stuff and to be basically Gadget Porn - sultry, seductive pictures of sleek expensive designer bodies, albeit plastic and silicon not flesh & blood. Come to think of it there’s probably plenty of plastic and silicon in real porn but that’s another matter!
So is Gizmo more than gadget porn? Check it out for yourself

I love gadget mags but the women sprawled over the items don’t really appeal to me lol. In fact, I generally feel embarrassed when buying it in case someone doesn’t realise I want to look at/read about GADGETS.
I chceked out Gizmo briefly the other day (I subscribed) but it’s like looking in Thorntons when you’re on a diet. No money to buy ![]()

The top shelf magazines seem to have moved down a shelf - presumably the the new top shelf has the old under counter ones! Whenever I look for “men’s interest” mags - (about guitars, cars, … all of which could be of interest to women) I want to point out “I’m not buying Nuts or Zoo”.
Anyway, at least Gizmo won’t cost you so you can save up for the real gadgets!
