So, obvious choice is to repartition & get rid of the Linux. I have a copy of partition magic so I can probably do it without data loss, I’ll have a go.

Yes, boot from XP CD, go to recover console by pressing ‘R’ then select the partition ( I assume now 1) and in the command line type “fixmbr” (without the quotes) when asked if you are sure select Y for yes. Then type exit and enter. your machine should boot XP without the option of linux.

Sad…. However, you can download supergrub (forget the link at the moment, but Google it) and create a bootCD from the ISO. This you can use to change the MBR back to be “windows only” and get rid of GRUB…

cheers guys, assuming I can find a bootable XP disk I’ll try that if not it’s super grub!

Sorted! I tried Bootfix as well for luck as it ha less warnings about it than fixmbr. Thanks very much
