I’m becoming obsessed with clothing. Having blogged about my new company shirt http://www.itpro.co.uk/blogs/davef/2008/06/23/is-my-career-static/

Hoho- I work in a suited environment - and prefer it.

Work suits are cheap ones, but look reasonable - and shirts are cheap/easy! Best bit is my office and home life have a seperate uniform so to speak so my home clothes don’t get messed up at work!

I used to work at a non-suited place, and there my work clothes tended to be mixed with home ones, resulting in more expensive clothes being purchased. For me at least suited is cheaped.

I always found it a pleasure to take the “work uniform” off. Not quite the pleasure of removing too tight shoes but could feel like sloughing a skin sometimes! Some people recomend dressing up to work at home for that reason - a definate start / end switch. I’m too lazy to a) dress up b) need to know when I’ve finished! (So far anyway)
