The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee have been meeting to investigate personal Internet security. I bet you can hardly contain your excitement that all our security problems will soon be over now that government is on the case. Well, maybe not huh?

Already the committee has heard evidence from representatives of APACS, VISA and the FSA, who were apparently put through their paces to provide answers regarding the mechanisms which the UK financial industry has put in place to protect users of online banking and, indeed, other online financial services.
