Isn’t web design finicky?

I’ve spent most of today writing web pages and setting up a blog for a college assignment.
The design for the main pages was already done - apart from the IE6 problem that I’m still trying to sort out! Darned thing. I also put some php includes in for the navigation making things a little bit easier. It’s just been time consuming writing each page and making sure all the links worked and so on. Then, of course, I had to start on the blog design - silly me. So here I am at midnight, well past my usual bedtime, typing this entry to let off some steam. And I want to do this for a living??? Where’s the nearest psychiatrist!
