Increasing my productivity

I swear - I’ve found a new gadget that has done just that!
Last week, after months of reading reviews and playing with it in-store (thanks to the Lancaster Vodafone staff), I ordered the Blackberry Storm. I’ve had a Nokia N series of one type or another for over three years and was feeling a little trepidation over such a change. I wanted the push e-mail for my business but was really unsure how I’d get on with the touchscreen phone.
So - productivity I hear you ask.
Because my phone pushes email to me from the moment the alarm wakes me up I have no need to turn on my Asus EEE in the morning; therefore I don’t get sidetracked by surfing the news and various forums and Facebook… you know what I’m talking about. This means I am generally earlier getting dressed and sorted and so earlier getting into the office - as the kids leave for school I move into the office rather than half an hour or so later.
Also, I don’t have to constantly check my mail when I’m working as the BB pings to let me know I have a message and I can leave it if I’m busy or check it if I’m not. I can also delete the mail from handheld and mailbox so when I do go into my Outlook there are only new messages or ones I want to deal with at the PC instead of on the BB.
I’m not quite in love with it, but then I’ve only had it a week and am still getting used to the differences, but I am now a BB fan and can’t see me ever having anything else.
So, what gadgets etc do you find improve your productivity?

I have a similar feeling over my Nokia N95 8GB Sharon, I mostly use the Exchange Push Software MfE, GoogleMail, as well as the browser and the Sat-Nav, but as it will be coming up for a contract renewal in a few months it is time to start looking around - and how things have changed! For a start a data tariff is becoming a must have for me - something I would not have considered a few years ago.
I quite like the idea of getting a Netbook but I have yet to put my flag in the sand - the Samsung NC10 is the one that has my eye at the moment.
How are you getting on with your Asus?

Hi Jason. I love my Asus as a secondary PC. I eventually used a legal copy of XP I had as the OS rather than Ubuntu or the original Linux distro. I’ve added a 16GB SD card for loads of storage too. I mainly use it for surfing and personal stuff rather than work.
There’s loads of choice out there for phones isn’t there? I too was looking at the internet/email access on top of calls. I do have a 3 data usb thingy for proper surfing when I’m out.
BTW - I discussed my new Blackberry on my personal blog (don’t look at the main site - I did it years ago and it needs a lot of updating LOL)
