Just seen this, Microsoft are reportedly adding a feature to media center to allow users to watch TV via the Internet…

Engadget state that during a ‘chat’ with Microsoft they got wind of a new feature being added to Media center that will allow us to watch Internet TV through our Media centers and Xboxs!

The feature will be supported by adverts which should mean the service will be free to!

Engadget say that we should expect to see the update (check Windows update) around 27th September, as long as there is plenty of content available this should be just what is needed to make the Xbox the perfect home entertainment system.

I’ll believe it when I see it - Sky won’t even allow Cablecards yet.

***Update*** I heard yesterday that we may have to wait until December. This is supposedly when a bigger MCE update is coming out and will include the Internet TV update. This isn’t concrete evidence though, if anyone has a clearer view of this please let the rest of us know!
