Recently Microsoft has filed a patent for a system that can monitor workers. Not just the usual Internet and Email. Actually monitor you physically, and to an extent mentally.

The system will allow managers to monitor their employees; the system will record your heart rate, movement (so they know when your at the water cooler), body temperature, facial expressions, and blood pressure, the system uses wireless sensors to monitor your body.

There are obviously large concerns about privacy here, the fag breaks will have to be cut down, and the little chats with your mates!

Although there are some other ways of looking at it, when you’re stressed or frustrated the system will be able to alert your manager automatically, so they can hopefully help deal with it.

This is definitely one to keep your eye on, but I’d like to know what peoples initial thoughts on the subject are?
