Facebook Virus…

If you use Facebook, be warned! There is a ‘virus’ floating around it. You can’t get infected by browsing, it is sent as a message within facebook. The message will come from one of your friends (who is already infected), and it will have a message along the lines of;

  • “Your ass looks not bad in this video”
  • “Who and when made this video of you?!!!”
  • “Nudity makes you beautiful. Who made this video?You look disgusting this video!

There will also be a link in the message that will appear to be taking you to youtube, but it will take you to a fake youtube page that will  tell you a flash update is required. When you follow the link, it will infect your PC with the virus/worm. At point of writing this, not all the anti-virus packages are picking this up.

As always, the safest thing to do is not click a link from a message that looks ‘odd’. If your not sure, Google it! Then if your still not sure, just don’t open it.

If one of my friends sent me a message like those examples I’d definitely be suspicious!
