Cuil - not impressed

After day one of Cuil, I’m not super impressed
Half the UK day the site was down due to lack of capacity… guys if you want to beat Google you need to allow us to actually search… after all the primary reason people use Google is its search is quick, pretty accurate.. and seemingly always available.
Cuil, however, well, not so good on day one.

Dan, try again, your name comes up now. I agree that server issues were frustrating, but most of them seem to be gone now, and it’s working just fine for me. Cuil is starting to grow on me.

Not impressed. I typed in ‘Leeds castle Kent’, and it did not know it existed.

Unfortunately a Pr own goal. High expectations based on the ex-Google connections + primal desire for the real challenger to Google meant any snafus on the first day were going to sink Cuil almost immediately. http://gbckewroad.blogspot.com/2008/07/wishing-cuil-well-but.html
