Author Profile
Dennis Howlett
Dennis Howlett’s consulting arrangements occasionally bring him into direct or indirect business relationships with some of the companies about which he writes, and/or their competitors. Where such a relationship exists, it is disclosed.
Dennis is committed to maintaining the independent and opinionated stance that his writings are well known for and does not enter into contracts that would limit his freedom of expression in any way. However it is important in the interests of full disclosure to inform readers of those relationships so they can form their own judgement. This page therefore lists all Dennis’s current business relationships.
Dennis owns AccMan, an independently produced blog covering the professional services market, primarily focused on Europe. It is currently sponsored by EditGrid and supported by limited and selected TextLink Ads.
He is a member of Enterprise Irregulars, a loose association of consultants, investors, industry representatives, analysts and users of enterprise class software. EI takes no commercial income although both SAP and Microsoft have paid for travel and accommodation to enable Dennis to attend certain of its conference events. Blogtronix provides free hosting and support services for EI.
Dennis maintains a minority interest in FreeAgent Central, a start up based in the UK.
Although Dennis has undertaken paid assignments for a number of enterprise class vendors, this element of his work has reduced considerably in the last 2 years. In recent times, Dennis has undertaken paid assignments for:
Agresso - an ERP vendor
Progress Software - a business integration vendor
Twinfield - a European vendor of on-demand accounting applications
An independent commercial arrangement with a Blogtronix client
A continuing paid blog assignment with ZDNet (US) going under the title Irregular Enterprise
Is a member of the editorial board for SAP CSR Wiki and is a contributor to SAP SDN blogs. Both of these assignments are currently provided as pro bono services.
Dennis maintains relationships with a range of end user organisations and in all cases is subject to non-disclosure agreement.
Except as mentioned above, Dennis has no other investments in any industry participants. This page last updated 16 January, 2007.
