As the title suggests for Christmas I received a Nokia e65, now this is primarily a business focused phone as part of the Nokia ‘E series’ however I saw it as one of the few Nokia phones that I like the look of with Wi-Fi, also in the running were the N91 which whilst having a huge memory which would be good for music was just a bit of a brick for me (and I needed to move away from the brick like Sony Ericsson p900), A quick contender was the E61 due to the nice keyboard but that got nocked out because of the size.

I have had this phone only a little while and I already love it so much, I dont even think its a short term novelty love either - its just lovely, I like the wifi on it the most, it is just so easy to find out a small piece of information from the comfort of my sofa!, see an actor on tv that I recognise? - Check imdb, need to know the price of something - wikipedia!, all this and more! Not second to this is the amount of applications that are available for the device - as it runs on Symbian S60 there is a lot of choice both in productivity / utility applications and games. Some examples of these applications are Google mail and maps which are both native - I believe, The Google mail application also has the amazing ability to give you near gps data through positioning you according to your relative location to a mobile phone mast. Windows Live messenger is excellent on the phone - whilst it hasn’t got a QWERTY keyboard it does have a relatively easy to use phone number pad keyboard thing which is quick enough for a simple messenger conversation, and finally the application that I will be showing off the most at the moment is ‘emTube’ which gives the ability to stream youtube videos to the phone - this isnt in great quality or speeds but its very good in terms of sound so a quick music video would be brilliant on it.

More information to come :)
