Which rabbit to follow?

I have about three or four ideas (rabbits) for what to write here but can’t decided which one. OK, eeny, meeny, miny, MO! There - got one.
Social networking. This one I’ve been brooding over for a while but the thought of AOL getting there hands on BEBO made me feel it’s quite topical.
I have a Facebook account and an old MySpace that I’ve just revived as I need to set something up for a singer my husband’s promoting/managing. I’m also on Orkut and I Twitter every now and again but Facebook is my main social arena. I joined when it was students only and felt quite alone until they opened it up. Being a ‘mature’ student means I don’t get that much involved with the social side of university life, them pesky kids of mine get in the way (only joking).
Anyway, back to the point of this. I was thinking about the different ways people use these types of sites. My Facebook is generally there so I can keep in (loose) touch with my friends and see what’s going on with them. However, a lot of others use it in far more creative and social ways. Unfortunately (for me anyway) this means I have pending 1 event, 1 birthday and 44 other requests. Quite honestly, I don’t have the time to Poke, Throw a Sheep or Kiss anyone - although maybe throwing a sheep at some of them might relieve my tension lol. As for playing Scrabulous, I’m surprised anyone is getting anywhere…
So, here’s where you can do some work. Do you Facebook? Have you a MySpace? What do you think of social networking and how do you use it? And how the heck did we socialise without them?
And my quote for the week “Hope springs a kernel”. Clicks to anyone who knows where it’s from.
