ALDO chooses Digitate's Ignio platform to automate its IT

ALDO footwear has announced it's chosen Digitate's Ignio automation platform to simplify its IT operations as part of its digital transformation drive.

ALDO knew it needed to automate many of its IT processes in order to keep up with the competition and with a growing customer base and portfolio, it also wanted to be able to respond quickly to the changing footwear market.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)-owned venture Digitate's Ignio ticked all the boxes, helping the retailer deploy new services fast, ensure its digital solutions could withstand customer demand, support it's existing online pressence and offering a solid customer experience, while also reducing operational risk.

ALDO also required a platform to help the entire organisation become more efficient with its work practices and adapt fast to change.

"It is a major priority for the ALDO Group to move all of our services to a digital platform, and ensure a high level of resilience and agility," said Dominic D'Amata, vice president, Architecture, Governance and Infrastructure for the ALDO Group.

"In recent years, as our business has expanded, our systems have become ever more complex. As such, Ignio will help us to simplify the management of these systems, giving us greater efficiency and control over critical aspects of our IT operations."

Using machine learning and AI, Digitate's Ignio platform collates information from a range of sources to become contextually aware of a business's IT and resources. Because it's continuously learning, it knows a company's infrastructure, equipment and processes inside-out, so if something goes wrong, it will be detected, a decision can be made how to deal with the issue and remediated much faster than if AI and machine learning wasn't employed.

"TCS has developed algorithmic retailing solutions to help businesses become agile, proactive and efficient," said Pratik Pal, President of Retail and CPG, TCS. "We are pleased to extend our partnership with the ALDO Group and enable Ignio cognitive power to drive ALDO Group growth and digital transformation as they move forward in their Business 4.0 digital transformation journey."
