Oracle releases new version of Enterprise Manager
New enterprise product will "help improve application availability and business transaction performance".
Oracle has released the latest version its Enterprise Manager 10g enterprise management solution which includes increased management capabilities for packaged applications and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications.
The company has also launched Oracle Application Management Packs for the Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle's Siebel CRM. It said that the applications can help customers manage their applications and underlying infrastructure and help "improve application availability and business transaction performance with a single, integrated management solution."
The software, said the company, will enable its customers to manage their applications from top to bottom - "from monitoring service levels to proactively isolating exceptions before they impact business, and remediating issues at any level of the IT stack."
Richard Sarwal, senior vice president of Systems Management Products at Oracle said the new application will bring "a top-down management approach to application management".
He said the software provided users with a complete, integrated way to manage performance and availability, service levels, configurations, and deployment lifecycle for custom or pre-packaged applications and infrastructure.
"With these new capabilities, customers will be able to deliver better quality of service at lower cost," Sarwal said.
