Google Analytics goes global
Version two of Google Analytics receives worldwide rollout, as well as a stack of new features including email reporting and customisable dashboards.
Search engine giant Google has overhauled its web site reporting and stats tool, making it available globally for the first time.
New functionality in Version Two of Google Analytics includes email reporting, customisable dashboards, and new site map displays. The company claims that new version also has a greater emphasis on making data more accessible to users.
Google Analytics is also integrated with Google AdWords - the company's search marketing system - displaying details of display campaigns or cost-per-click programs within the analytics tool.
The system will be rolled out automatically to existing users over the coming weeks, while new users who sign up will work with the new version.
Google says all historical data will be available in the new version, and there will be at least a 30-day hand over period for users when both old and new versions will be accessible.
'The new version of Google Analytics will give advertisers and site owners greater insight into their customers' needs, thereby increasing advertiser ROI while also improving the e-commerce experience of consumers,' said Brian Clifton, head of Google's web analytics business in Europe.
