As Bill Gates is set to step away from the company he helped create, IT PRO looks back on his career in photos.

It's his last day on the job - sort of. Today marks Bill Gates' last full-time day of work at the behemoth he created: Microsoft.

While he'll no longer be in the office everyday, he'll remain on as non-executive chairman at the company which made him a billionaire.

Now, he'll be using his free time and spare cash to help improve healthcare and battle poverty with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
