Developers can now get their hands on an alpha version of Mozilla's latest iteration of the Firefox browser.

We have already learned that Firefox 3.6 will include new features such as notification sounds and a hidden menu bar and now the company has made it available to download.

The new member of the Mozilla family is codenamed Namoroka Alpha 1.

"Namoroka is built on pre-release version of the Gecko 1.9.2 platform, which forms the core of rich internet applications such as Firefox. Please note that this release is intended for developers and testers only," the company said.

Mozilla has asked for community feedback on the likes, dislikes and potential bugs in the new browser to be fed back to it directly.
