Snow Leopard set for release on Friday
Following speculation last week, Apple has confirmed that its new Mac OS will be released on 28 August.

Apple has confirmed it will be launching its latest operating system this Friday.
Snow Leopard, otherwise known as the Mac OS X v10.6, was rumoured to be released on 28 August after it appeared briefly on Apple's website but the company refused to confirm it.
Now Apple has released a statement saying this is definitely the date for the eagerly anticipated OS.
It will be available as an upgrade from the Leopard OS for $29 (17.59) with pre-orders being taken from today.
