SAP and HP link up over business intelligence
Industry giants HP and SAP have announced a partnership focused on business intelligence and data warehousing.

Tech giants SAP and HP have joined forces to collaborate on business intelligence (BI).
The two companies announced an agreement where they will integrate SAP's NetWeaver Business Warehouse BI solution with HP's Neoview enterprise data warehouse platform.
The partnership will allow customers to use the SAP component on HP's data platform, which can store, manage and access large volumes of data.
This could save businesses already running the SAP solution the time, cost and energy of migrating to a non-HP platform.
The companies hope the solution will address the problems of businesses that might be spending significant resources trying to access and analyse data using different BI products.
"Integrating BI into operational processes demands that analytical systems be highly available and have real-time data acquisition," said Henry Morris, senior vice president for software and services at IDC, in a statement.
HP will also resell SAP's BusinessObjects software, which includes BI and data integration tools.
SAP and HP have a 20-year history of working together, with nearly 50 per cent of SAP solutions running on HP platforms.
