HTC 2010 portfolio leaked online
A post on an a developer's forum claims to have the details of eight new HTC devices supposedly to be released in the first six months of 2010.
Documents claiming to reveal HTC's portfolio for the next six months have been leaked onto a developer's forum by a poster claiming to be in the know.
The documents have been posted on the XDA developers forum by a user known only by his handle B3ler3fonte, revealing eight new handsets, including three based on Windows Mobile 6.5 and five more Android devices.
B3ler3fonte claims to have been given the information during a presentation in Vienna in October this year detailing HTC's roadmap for the next six months with details of all the devices.
"I was changing my mind every single day, whether this should be or should not done," wrote B3ler3fonte, "but then I rethought that it's better to be done now and let you know all about it in one specific thread."
A spokesperson from HTC told IT PRO: "We cannot comment on speculation or rumour, but we're excited about our upcoming roadmap and encourage you to watch this space."
B3ler3fonte has scanned pictures along with specifications claiming they came from a brochure given out the October meeting.
Below are the pictures as well as details revealed in the forum post.
This is supposedly one of the Android offerings due out in March 2010. The specs say it comes with a metallic frame, is 11.4mm thick and has a clickable optical mouse like the HTC Hero.
The Salsa is meant to be the second of the Android devices due out in June 2010. It has similar styling to a BlackBerry with a full QWERTY keyboard and has built in social networking apps.
The Tide claims to be the third of the Android devices, due out in April 2010. Like the Salsa it has built in social networking capabilities and also sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, according to the posted specifications.
The fourth Android device that HTC is meant to be releasing is called the Buzz and is due in May 2010. As well as having interchangeable covers, it has 3.2 inch screen and a five megapixel camera.
