Apple's market dominating tablet device the iPad can now update to the latest version of the mobile operating system, the company has confirmed.
As of today, users can download the iOS 4.2 update via iTunes for free and will get a number of new features in return.
The main highlight will be the ability to multi-task on the iPad, something iPhone users didn't get until the release of the iPhone 4.
There will also be the ability to make folders, the introduction of both AirPrint and AirPlay wireless printing and streaming capabilities and the inclusion of Find My iPhone,' which claims to allow users to locate a lost device.
Today also saw Orange and T-Mobile announce new tariffs were on their way for customers yet to get their hands on the popular device.
The two companies, who recently began to merge as new brand Everything Everywhere, confirmed on their separate websites "new purchase options for iPad users, including more affordable prices when purchased with a data service plan, for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G models [would be available] in the coming months."
They have yet to confirm what the price plans would be, but rumours are suggesting it could cost as little as 200 for a 24 month contract.
