Storage: Year in Review 2010

The end of April saw the end of the old friend as Sony confirmed it would stop the production of the 3.5in floppy disk as of March 2011 after almost 30 years of use by companies worldwide.

We may prefer our USB sticks or cloud storage but the floppy was a major milestone and we salute its significance.
