Vodafone has announced it will be the first carrier in the UK to sell the Google Nexus S on Android 2.3.
The phone had only been available through Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse, without a SIM, until now.
Although the exact date for the Vodafone release hasn't been disclosed yet, the operator said the Nexus S would be available in white, as well as the traditional black hue.
No official comments had been made regarding the price of the device, though the tariff is not expected to vary too much from 30 per month with a two year deal.
With a 1 GHz processor, Google's Nexus S on Android 2.3, also known as Gingerbread, is the most powerful of all the Android smartphones in the market.
Among its principal features are a four-inch LED curved screen, 16GB of built-in memory, and special software for quick web browsing, video streaming and gaming.
