Red Hat becomes billion dollar company

SLAs coming to OpenShift

Crenshaw also revealed the company would finally be introducing the long-awaited service level agreements for its hosted Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering named OpenShift.

Up until now there has been no promises made about uptime, latency or availability when it comes to the offering, as it has been difficult to make guarantees due to it being hosted on Amazon Web Services.

However, the executive claimed the agreements would be coming "very soon" and even hinted they could be announced at Red Hat's Boston conference in June.

"That is a really great place to announce such things," Crenshaw said with a knowing smile.
