McAfee expands MSP programme

McAfee has launched a Managed Service Provider (MSP) programme for resellers building a managed security services business.

The firm says the “pay-as-you-go” monthly subscription security services programme addresses both on-premise and cloud based customer requirements, and is especially targeted at the SMB.

“We are seeing tremendous growth in the managed service market fuelled by customer demand for reduced IT complexity and lower cost,” says Gavin Struthers, senior vice president of worldwide channels (pictured), who adds the programme leverages the firm’s decade-long managed services experience.

McAfee quotes research from AMI Partners, which states the worldwide market for security solutions in the SMB segment is around $5.1bn, growing at a CAGR of about 9 percent annually.

The new programme offers protection for endpoints, servers/networks, virtual environments and mobile devices, as well as the vendor’s SaaS portfolio, which can all be managed centrally through either McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator or SaaS management console.
