Cloud marketplace Pax8 expands into Australia and New Zealand
MSPs in the region can now sign up to be a Pax8 partner and purchase key products from vendors such as Acronis, Check Point, Bitdefender, and more

Cloud commerce marketplace Pax8 has announced an expansion into Australia and New Zealand as the company looks to broaden its geographical reach.
The move means managed service providers (MSPs) in the region can now access the firm’s cloud marketplace, support, education programmes, and more, to help drive growth.
The Pax8 platform is designed to simplify the buying journey to help partners get more out of cloud technology. Essentially, it replaces distribution by connecting the channel ecosystem to its transactional cloud marketplace, enabling billing, provisioning, automation, PSA integrations, as well as pre- and post-sales support.
Partners can purchase products from vendors such as Acronis, Check Point’s email security group, Bitdefender, CyberCNS, Dropsuite, Proofpoint, and SentinelOne.
“As we continue to look for new ways to broaden our geographical reach, we are thrilled to announce that MSPs in Australia and New Zealand can now sign up to be a Pax8 partner,” said Nick Heddy, chief revenue officer at Pax8.
“Pax8 makes it easy for partners to cloud-enable businesses and efficiently capitalise on the growth opportunities. We are thrilled to introduce our leadership team in Australia and New Zealand and empower our expansion into the new regions with best of breed vendors.”
This new leadership team will be fronted by Chris Sharp who takes on the role of senior vice president of Pax8 Asia, tasked with managing overall operations and corporate decision making.

Tracey Lacewell, vice president of sales, will lead sales in Australia and New Zealand as well as strategic expansion into the regions, while James Bergl, vice president of Business Development, will lead Pax8 Asia’s pre-sales teams, consulting teams, and education programmes.
“Pax8 is bringing something special and unique to our market, and I am excited to lead our expansion into the Asian markets starting in the Australia and New Zealand markets,” Sharp commented.
“Our focus is on enabling our partners to create value-based offerings for their clients, and we look forward to helping our partners to increase their opportunity in the market.”
Commenting on Pax8 Asia’s leadership team, Nick Heddy said: “This team is highly regarded in the channel and well-positioned to expand Pax8 operations into Asia, starting with Australia and New Zealand.”
