Palo Alto and Deloitte to deliver managed security services in the US
Freshly expanded strategic partnership will deliver threat protection, 5G security, and enable the Zero Trust Enterprise for US businesses
Cybersecurity firm Palo Alto has revealed it has expanded its strategic alliance with Deloitte to offer managed security services to shared US clients.
The pair began their strategic alliance back in July 2021 intending to deliver integrated cybersecurity solutions to mutual customers. Now, this range will include expanded features such as zero-trust enterprise enablement, multi-cloud automation and orchestration, managed cyber defence, as well as 5G-native security.

In an announcement, Palo Alto highlighted the increasing demand for MSSPs and managed detection and response (MXD) providers to offer high-impact cyber defence capabilities.
"Our customers are asking for managed secure access service edge (SASE), cloud, and threat detection and response capabilities," explained Prem Iyer, vice president of Global Systems Integrator Ecosystems at Palo Alto Networks.
"By offering our innovative security solutions portfolio as a managed service through Deloitte, we're providing newly extended support to customers who want their cyber programs to truly enable their critical business initiatives."
Zero trust enterprise enablement is at the forefront of the expanded partnership with Palo Alto and Deloitte to help customers adopt a Zero Trust framework by combining cyber technology platforms and professional services.
The combined offering draws from Palo Alto’s security portfolio, including identity context for enhanced automated policy decisions across on-premises, hybrid and private/public cloud environments.
With multicloud automation and orchestration, Deloitte’s Cloud Security offering combines Palo Alto’s Prisma Cloud and Cortex XSOAR extended security platforms with its own cloud security controls framework and library of cloud security use cases.
Prisma Cloud and Prisma Cloud Compute solutions are also embedded in Deloitte's OpenCloud for threat detection, prevention, attack surface management and security automation capabilities.
Additionally, Deloitte says it can assist clients by advising, implementing, and operating a streamlined and harmonised cyber defence technology stack leveraging the Palo Alto Networks product portfolio.
Finally, the pair are also offering 5G-native security that combines 5G security blueprints, the integration of data, control, and cellular domains, as well as cross-domain enforcement of security policies based on user, application, and wireless device activities.
"We're advising our clients every day on how cybersecurity can help empower their strategic business priorities — but building it all in-house can be challenging and costly," commented Kieran Norton, Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory infrastructure solution leader and principal.
"Together with Palo Alto Networks, we are able to advise, equip and operate security capabilities for organisations as they work to manage cyber threats with agility and resilience."
