Thomas adds more than a decade of channel, MSP, and distributor leadership experience to Malwarebytes’ growing channel team.
Before his new role, he was WatchGuard Technologies’ Regional Vice President of US Channel Sales, where he helped to oversee the integration of WatchGuard Technologies and Panda Security’s solution portfolio, following the latter’s recent acquisition. Before that, he served as Arista Networks’ Director of Worldwide Channel Sales.
In an announcement, Thomas highlighted the need for improved cybersecurity solutions that cater to the needs of SMBs.
“Small and medium-sized businesses face unique challenges that have been underserved by the cybersecurity industry, which historically has designed products for large enterprises,” Thomas explained.
“Malwarebytes is in a perfect position to serve the needs of these organisations through our partnerships with MSPs and our robust platform of security solutions.”
For Malwarebytes, the aim is to build upon its strong 2022 fiscal year, during which time it saw 37% year-on-year MSP partner growth.
In addition to Thomas’ appointment, the firm’s OneView platform will continue to receive new modules and add-on services throughout the remainder of this year, with the MSP program aiming to help partners access a wider range of services.
The company said the expansion of its MSP offerings will better enable SMBs to be protected from cyberattacks by relying on trusted partners to provide an expanded service offering – ultimately reducing workloads on internal IT personnel as a result.
“Our intuitive, streamlined approach to managing cyber protection takes the stress off SMBs and enables them to focus on their core business without fearing ransomware or other threats, even across dispersed work environments,” Thomas added.
