Datto appoints new sales director UK & Ireland
Justine Harris will head up the regional sales team to reinforce its MSP partner community
Datto has appointed Justine Harris as its new Sales Director for the UK and Ireland, as the IT provider looks to reinforce its MSP partner community in the region.
A highly-experienced sales leader, she brings with her an “outstanding record” in identifying and developing global growth opportunities, the firm said.
"I'm really excited to be working at a company that provides best of breed solutions that enable our MSP partners to deliver offerings to their SMB customers, which is one of the fastest-growing market sectors globally," Harris told Channel Pro.
"[My key priorities in the first three months will be] making sure we are providing our partner ecosystem with the best coverage, resources and experience that they need to continue to grow and be successful within their existing and target customer base, whilst driving further expansion and growth across the region."
Harris joins Datto from Vodafone Business in the UK, where she held the role of interim head of global sales, cloud, and security. Prior to that, she was regional vice president EMEA at Akamai Technologies, responsible for strengthening its channel ecosystem.
“We welcome Justine to help our growing team,” commented Mark Simon, managing director of Datto’s EMEA division. “Her outstanding experience in the areas of software, SaaS, and cloud computing are a perfect fit for us.
“With her enthusiastic approach and proven track record in successful channel sales organisations, we are confident that she will accelerate the growth of our partner ecosystem in the region and ensure MSPs are bringing even greater value to their SME customers.”
Harris also brings extensive experience from senior sales positions at CA Technologies, where she developed and delivered sales and go-to-market strategies for its service provider and cloud solutions across EMEA and globally.
In her new role, Harris will oversee the continued expansion of Datto’s UK and Ireland business, building strong relationships with both new and existing partners in its network.
“Small and medium-sized enterprises are increasingly looking for an expert partner at their side to help them navigate the complex challenges of data protection, cyberattacks, and critical business processes,” Harris said.
“Datto’s solutions are the most advanced in the market and specifically tailored for MSPs, enabling them to take on this crucial role of strategic IT adviser to a growing number of SME clients.”
Harris told Channel Pro she is also keen to ensure existing, as well as new partners, enjoy the support they have become used to in working with Datto.
"[We will do this] by engaging in regular updates with our partners providing them with information on any software updates, new solutions, sales and technical enablement training, strong marketing collateral that they can co-brand or utilise independently to help drive greater market penetration and industry updates, that demonstrate market trends and potential opportunities," Harris said.
"All of this will ensure our partners have a strong understanding of our solutions and how they can provide them to enhance and strengthen the offerings they take to their customers, which in turn allows them to improve the business value they provide and increase their profitability."
Harris added: “I am thrilled to join Datto during this transformational time of growth in the European channel.”
