IT agility drive digital transformation
The IDC believes there are five phases that businesses go through during the course of a pandemic; these include Crisis, Slowdown, Recession, Investment, and Recovery. In this last phase - Recovery - they feel that to recover successfully, organisations need to innovate and transform.
Where previously digital transformation was optional for businesses, the pandemic became a driving force for adoption. One solution was hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), which meant companies could deliver new apps and services more quickly and securely than before, however, despite this added value, without clearly defined workloads, it may not address all performance needs.
