Performanta acquires Microsoft IAM firm Identity Experts
The takeover will enable the MSSP to extend security capabilities across the Microsoft portfolio
Cyber security service provider Performanta has announced the acquisition of Identity Experts, a Microsoft Gold Security Partner and Identity & Access Management (IAM) specialist consultancy.
The takeover will allow the Maidenhead-based MSSP to extend and improve security capabilities further across the Microsoft portfolio, including products such as Azure AD, Sentinel, ATP, O365 and IAM.
The move follows a significant investment round from British private equity firm Beech Tree Private Equity back in March. Financial figures for the acquisition were not disclosed.
"Together with Identity Experts, we are able to address the mounting security challenges and plug a critical gap in the market, especially amongst clients with a Microsoft-focused security roadmap,” commented Guy Golan, group CEO and co-founder of Performanta.
"Though we will of course maintain our established footprint across the entire cybersecurity landscape, with Identity Experts, this will be extended to a truly broad range of services.
"This puts us in a unique position to provide the market with a security outcome-based approach – irrespective of technology provider.”
As a Microsoft Gold Partner, Identity Experts specialises in helping customers build out a strategy of securing their identities, while also benefitting from improvements in compliance, risk management and user experience.
Based in Stockport and Huddersfield, the firm will now become part of the Performanta Group. Identity Experts founders Paul Green and Matt Brunton will continue to drive the group’s focus on the Microsoft portfolio, the company said.
