End-to-end device lifecycle solutions provider Brightstar has announced the acquisition of LucidCX, a provider of customer service management software and services.

The move adds premium tech support capabilities to Brightstar’s growing service portfolio, following a period of significant global investment for the firm.

Brightstar said LucidCX’s technology, knowledge and capabilities will help clients drive significant value to both themselves and consumers.

“Brightstar is committed to delivering holistic solutions for today’s technology lifecycle,” commented Rod Millar, Brightstar CEO. “Lucid CX builds additional capabilities into Brightstar’s services, supporting our Device Protection and wider smart technology services, ensuring we deliver exceptional value and capabilities to our customers.

“The addition of LucidCX will enable Brightstar to deliver the best experience to consumers as it continues to drive innovation and value throughout the device protection landscape.”

Based near Weston-Super-Mare, LucidCX specialises in providing tools to support customers through the entire lifecycle – from onboarding to repairs, returns and upgrades, and across multiple channels such as digital, retail, call centres and head offices. The provider’s clients include global mobile carriers, device manufacturers, insurers, as well as retail giants.

Brightstar said the addition of LucidCX’s software and tools will help its customers deliver world-class customer service while also driving down the cost of customer care. The acquisition will also enable LucidCX scale its operations and bring services to a host of new customers, the provider added.

“For over 16 years, LucidCX has been recognised for our tradition of innovation, exceptional customer care and long-term relationships with top global brands, and we are proud to become a key part of Brightstar and join a team that has been leaders in the mobile device industry for over two decades,” said LucidCX CEO Matt Dyson.

“Together we can further transform the customer journey, and we are excited o tap into Brightstar’s resources and reach to scale our offering and support more global customers.”
