Tech Data expands EMEA distribution agreement with Nvidia
The firms' partnership now covers the full solution stack
Distribution giant Tech Data has announced a new European distribution agreement with Nvidia for its hardware, software, and services.
The deal is an expansion of the pair’s existing agreement in the region, which will now include Nvidia hardware, the Nvidia AI Enterprise software suite and Nvidia DGX systems, as well as the firm’s Omniverse Enterprise platform.
“It’s hugely exciting to extend our Nvidia offering to cover the full solution stack and to have the opportunity to incorporate Nvidia's cutting-edge AI and Omniverse simulation technology into the solutions that we develop for our ecosystem partners, commented Miriam Murphy, senior vice president of Advanced and Specialized Solutions, Europe, at Tech Data.
Nvidia AI Enterprise is an end-to-end, cloud-native suite of AI and data analytics software optimised to run on VMware vSphere with NVIDIA-Certified Systems, while NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise provides an open platform for 3D design collaboration and real-time physically accurate simulation.
The agreement also adds Nvidia DGX systems, which is designed to enable businesses to scale AI development with purpose-built solutions.
“AI is fast becoming a vital ingredient for enterprises, governments and other public institutions in the race to leverage data to enhance efficiency, make better decisions and make the world safer,” Murphy continued.
“Meanwhile, platforms that enable digital twins and virtual worlds like Omniverse Enterprise are set to fundamentally transform the way that societies interact, collaborate and create. There is no better time for our partners to engage in this growth area for technology.”
Tech Data said it will reinforce its Nvidia offerings with a comprehensive range of professional and managed services, as well as leverage its own Solution Factory methodology to develop customised solutions with Nvidia products.
Partners will also be able to participate in Tech Data’s Practice Builder programs, which offer a structured path for partners to develop their own next-generation solutions practices.
These online pathways are designed to provide access to knowledge and skills development resources and include elements such as virtual strategy development workshops, supported by the solution practice mentors.
“Tech Data will effectively support the comprehensive distribution of the NVIDIA product range throughout the EMEA region,” said Alfred Manhart, vice president of Nvidia's Channel Business EMEA.
“Possessing strong pre-sales skills, technical support and proof-of-concept facilities, Tech Data is ideally placed to drive Nvidia AI Enterprise and Omniverse Enterprise solutions with its extensive ecosystem partner network.”
