Agilitas launches e-Ventory Charter for sustainable inventory management
The Charter outlines the elements of the company’s services that contribute to its mission and support a circular economy
The e-Ventory Charter outlines the elements of the company’s services, operational and internal initiatives that contribute to its mission and support a circular economy, it says.
The Charter coincides with the launch of Agilitas’ Sustainability Pledge that sees the firm commit to ‘Act with Impact’ to support a sustainable and healthy future. This pledge is built around three core pillars – planet, people and partners – that ultimately aim to support partners with solutions and services that reduce environmental impact.
Agilitas says this includes its ‘Recycle, Rework, Reuse’ model whereby in 60% of cases, the company can repair a faulty part to OEM standards and place it back on the shelf.
The Charter also features its core inventory as a service proposition, which provides a best practice methodology where vendors can access an EOL supply chain that follows strict governance and inventory management policies.
“At Agilitas, we are fully committed to supporting the channel with solutions that Recycle, Rework, Reuse to extend the lifecycle of IT products and exceed targets for a more sustainable future,” said Shaun Lynn, CEO of Agilitas.
“Our vision is simple. To act with impact and build a more sustainable and healthy future for our planet, people and partners, working towards the UK’s crucial ambitions for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.”
Within the Charter, Agilitas also puts forward its commitment to reducing its own carbon footprint through various measures – such as automation of some roles, using electric vans, and minimising staff travel.
The provider has announced a range of internal initiatives to meet these objectives, it revealed, including the appointment of Compliance Manager Deborah Johnson as its new head of Sustainability.
Additionally, there’s also the Agilitas Channel Confidence Index, which measures the progression of sustainability across the IT Channel to help provide actionable insights.
Agilitas said its wider sustainability pledge also includes a commitment to 100,00 trees over the next five years as it looks to build a climate positive workforce over the next decade and a carbon-neutral operation by 2040.
“Sustainability is in the DNA of our Inventory-as-a-Service model, which is an essential part of our work to help create a circular economy that is better for the environment and our customers,” Lynn added.
