London-based analytics firm Snowplow has announced the appointment of Abhirukt Sapru as its new Vice President of Sales, as the behavioural data management platform provider looks to build on its strong 2020 growth.

Sapru joins the business from security software company Tessian, where he held the roles of Chief Revenue Officer, Head of Business Development and Head of EMEA/APAC. He will lead the Snowplow team in establishing and driving its global go-to-market strategy to provide global data teams with the capabilities to collect and operationalise behavioural data at scale, the firm said.

The appointment marks the next stage of Snowplow’s ambitious growth strategy, with the provider having achieved successful growth in 2020, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Despite tough economic conditions since the beginning of 2020, we have maintained our growth curve as companies realise the need for a solution that unifies customer behaviour across different touchpoints in a way that isn’t dictated by third-party vendors,” commented Alex Dean, Snowplow co-founder and CEO.

“With Abhirukt’s experience in growing businesses and driving sales, we’re excited to help more companies unlock their behavioural data and use it in more meaningful ways.”

The Snowplow platform helps businesses deliver rich, high-quality behavioural data to power their data products. Unlike packaged analytics providers, it’s designed to adapt to specific business needs, offering companies full control of their behavioural data with flexibility to define how data is collected, structured, processed and modelled.

The provider says these capabilities are more important than ever, thanks to the speed of change brought about by this year’s pandemic, as well as the acceleration of digital transformation.

“The companies that win today are those that put an understanding of their customers and prospects at the heart of their organisation, and COVID-19 and the global switch-off of the in-person economy is accelerating this trend,” said Snowplow’s new Vice President of Sales Abhirukt Sapru.

“Snowplow is uniquely placed to help businesses respond to these changes by powering the data journey that they are embarking on and I’m excited to lead the charge in bringing these capabilities to organisations around the world.”
