Westcon looks to drive adoption of Avaya Cloud Office in Ireland

Business partnership tree puzzles

Westcon has revealed its plans for a partner recruitment drive in Ireland, as the distributor looks to grow adoption of Avaya Cloud Office by RingCentral in the country.

As a master agent for the unified communications as a service (UCaaS) platform in Europe, Westcon said it intends to build on the successful launch of Avaya Cloud Office in the UK back in June.

Avaya Cloud Office is all-in-one software designed to enhance the way organisations communicate with customers and partners through collaboration across multiple channels.

By enabling voice calls, team messaging, meetings, conferencing and file sharing in a single platform, Avaya says its product reduces cost and complexity while still enabling fluid communication across workforces.

Announcing the move, Westcon described the UCaaS platform as a “best in class” solution, delivered by “two of the most respected names within Unified Communications in Avaya and RingCentral”.

“Both vendors are built on strong brand legacy that continues to grow, and we’re proud to have the opportunity to be a part of that,” commented Antony Byford, Managing Director of Westcon UK & Ireland.

“We believe that Avaya Cloud Office presents a great opportunity to serve the advancing needs of the Irish market as it moves towards cloud-based UC and our on-boarding program will make it easy and profitable for partners.”

As European Master Agent for Avaya Cloud Office, Westcon has already recruited and enabled a UK-wide partner base, complete with free sales and technical training, marketing assistance and legacy user migration campaigns.

The distributor describes the Master Agent opportunity for UCaaS as “compelling” to VARS and consultants of all types, as it requires only opportunity qualification, as well as delivers monthly commissions for the lifetime of the customer contract to the partner.

“As a strategic distribution partner of Avaya, and having already established a partner base for Avaya Cloud Office in the UK, we’re excited to see Westcon help Irish partners and customers realise the benefits of this new UCaaS solution,” said Aidan Furlong, Avaya’s General Manager for Ireland.

“Westcon’s long-held relationships within the market and the value it brings to customers will certainly help us to drive adoption for Avaya Cloud Office.”
