ScanSource has announced it’s opening a new distribution centre in Southampton and a third office in Winnersh Triangle, Berkshire to support the growth of its business in the UK.

The focus of this expansion is building up better customer service for partners, allowing for extended order cut-offs for UK customers and enabling next-day delivery for the majority of its products.

The opening of its office in Berkshire will mean the tech provider will be able to diversify its professional services offering, with specialised staff to help partners offer their customers more, across audio visual (AV), unified communications (UC) and cloud services.

ScanSource said it will be moving staff from its existing operation to the new office, creating a new hub for the company to operate from. It hasn’t yet announced whether it will be recruiting extra staff to help it achieve its objectives in this new phase of expansion.

“ScanSource is committed to our UK partners. We want to ensure it’s easy for them to do business with us, while also enabling our teams to be highly effective at meeting our partners’ needs across the region,” said Paul Constantine, president of international business at ScanSource.

“With our enhanced UK presence, we are able to provide an even deeper level of support, delivering the solutions and services partners need as they strive to create an excellent customer experience for their end customers.”

Both the distribution centre and the new office will open in March, adding to its existing facilities in Bury and Hull.
