F-Secure has announced the launch of its new global partner programme, which the cyber security firm says will help business-to-business (B2B) IT reseller partners bring a holistic cyber security approach to customers.

Designed to unify technology, training and benefits, the initiative structures cooperation into a painless, transparent process that supports businesses providing F-Secure's corporate security products and services, according to the company.

The programme's tiered structure also allows it to cater to IT resellers with different capabilities, as well as companies that expand and move to higher tiers, F-Secure said.

According to Elena Zykova, the firm's head of Channel Development, IT resellers need to help more organisations embrace the diverse range of cyber security technologies and solutions that are flooding the market.

"Organisations need to feel confident in an IT reseller's security competence and know-how to build trust," Zykova explained. "But the current demand for skilled cyber security professionals far outweighs the supply, which is really problematic for IT resellers that want to provide security to their customers."

"A big challenge for these resellers is educating their customers on why more mature cyber security capabilities, like those offered by detection and response solutions, are important to counter today's attackers."

With F-Secure's new programme, partners can choose from four different levels: Registered, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each level possesses its own requirements of membership based on factors such as annual sales, new sales growth, certifications and renewal business performance.

Reseller partners can use the programme to qualify for discounts, marketing support and investments, insights, dedicated technical service and feedback sessions and more. There's also a new partner portal to help manage the ordering of new solutions, submitting support tickets and other tasks, the firm revealed.

"Our partners' success is our success," Zykova added. "We give end-to-end support and backing to partners that share our vision, strategy and commitment to becoming their customers' trusted cyber security provider."
