Salesforce Meetings debuts to enhance virtual selling
System will equip sales teams and help re-accelerate growth as the COVID-19 pandemic continues
Forming part of a new collection of Sales Cloud features, Salesforce Meetings adds an extra layer of functionality to a users' video call provider, with an interface that will help lead more impactful calls and build stronger relationships with customers, the firm says.
Essentially, the new meeting management system has been designed to support reps at every stage of a sales call, with functionality suited to the before, during and after stages of the process.
Users now have a 360-degree view of all meeting attendees on a single screen - including customer history, open service cases and attendee bios – while during the call, and both the presentation and the presenter are shown together to add an extra human touch. Once it's over, Meetings then allows reps to log notes for internal collaboration with Salesforce Anywhere, as well as utilise automated action items.
"The world's best-performing sales teams use the #1 CRM, Salesforce," said Doug Camplejohn, GM and EVP, Sales Cloud at Salesforce. "And with our new innovations in Sales Cloud 360, you're seeing us continue to set the bar.
"We're enabling sales reps to stand out in a sea of virtual meetings, and helping remote teams to work together more effectively during these unprecedented times."
Salesforce Meetings forms part of a new suite of technologies the firm is introducing for its Sales Cloud CRM platform. Users will also be able to utilise new Einstein Video Call Coaching, which can analyse video conversations to capture AI-driven insights on customer needs and rep performance, as well as allowing for improved personalisation of team strategies.
There’s also a new Salesforce Maps Field Safety Kit for improved travel safety features in a post-COVID-19 landscape, while an enhanced High-Velocity Sales tool will now provide automated actions across the sales cycle on opportunities and accounts, Salesforce said.
"This is a transformational moment for sales, more so than any other role in the enterprise," commented Gerry Murray, Research Director, Marketing and Sales Technology at IDC. "Companies have to find new ways to optimise the day to day tasks of sales reps and support contactless relationships with customers.
"With Salesforce's new virtual selling suite, reps can better leverage a 360-degree view to sell more effectively and elevate their customers' experiences."
Salesforce Meetings is expected to be available in pilot from October 2020, with general availability scheduled for February 2021 alongside the rest of the new Sales Cloud features.
