Trellix boosts channel presence with new Xtend Global Partner Program

Trellix has released its new Xtend Global Partner Program, designed to boost partner growth through the adoption of its extended detection and response (XDR) platform.

First announced at the company’s Xpand Live 2022 event last year, the initiative hopes to enable partners to develop and deliver value-added services on top of the firm’s XDR platform.

With its deep integrations across native and third-party providers, Trellix said this will help partners sell to global customers and integrate the platform into existing environments.

Thanks to the platform’s large installed base, Xtend partners can up-sell and cross-sell the firm’s wide range of solutions – which include endpoint, security operations (SecOps), network detection and response (NDR), and more – from within existing accounts.

“Partners are at the forefront of our global sales strategy,” said Britt Norwood, SVP of global channels and commercial at Trellix. “To be effective, our new partner programme had to be built from the ground up with their needs in mind.

“We spent a great deal of time listening to partners, reviewing industry best practices, and developing the right approach to enable partners to increase profitability, better support their customers, and lead in the XDR market.”

The programme arrives just over a year after the Trellix brand was unveiled following the merger of McAfee Enterprise and FireEye in October 2021.

The rebranded pure-play cyber security company offers an XDR platform that combines automation, machine learning, extensible architecture, as well as threat intelligence.

Now, with the launch of the Xtend programme, the provider has introduced a new partner portal with upgraded resources, from guides and playbooks, to deal registration and incentive management tools.

There’s also access to the Trellix University learning management platform, profitability programmes, technical and sales support resources, as well as demand generation and marketing support.

“Partners receive a customised experience rooted in advanced security, based on decades of industry expertise, and facilitated by a native, open, and scalable extended detection and response platform,” Norwood said.

Dr Ali Baghdadi, SVP and chief executive at Trellix partner Ingram Micro said the programme’s partner-first approach “sets it apart from the competition”.

“Their approach directly reflects the evolution of the channel and enables us to provide excellent customer experiences and build trusted relationships by delivering essential security services and solutions,” he said.

“A deeper partnership with Trellix, ongoing support, and opportunity creation will help fuel our growth.”
