Cyber security services provider Orange Cyberdefense has announced the launch of two new managed security services to complement Microsoft 365 Defender’s existing capabilities.

Customers across all sectors can now bolster their security setups with new Managed Workspace Protection for Microsoft 365 Defender, and Managed Threat Detection (XDR) for Microsoft 365 Defender.

Designed to help businesses fully utilise the platform, these new managed services supplement Orange’s existing managed detection and response (MDR) service based on Microsoft Sentinel, which launched back in 2022.

With more than 130 Microsoft-certified experts, Paris-based Orange Cyberdefense was already a part of the Redmond giant’s ecosystem as a member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) prior to launch.

Now, Laurent Célérier, executive vice-president of technology and marketing at Orange Cyberdefense, said the new services mark an “important step forward” in the creation of a “one-stop-shop for all Microsoft-related activities”.

“Thanks to our investment in Microsoft, Orange Cyberdefense combines an intelligence-led managed services approach with best-of-breed technologies, experts and processes to help customers stay ahead of threats and invest resources where they will have the greatest impact,” he said.

“We can improve their security efficiency and threat visibility with our managed security services across Microsoft solutions.”

With Managed Workspace Protection for Microsoft 365 Defender, businesses can reinforce their protection against common risks that target organisation’s endpoints, identities, emails, and web experience.

The offering leverages Orange Cyberdefense Threat Intelligence to block the most advanced attacks, while also simplifying security management across all Defender modules and continuously improving security posture through proactive secure score management and release management.

The all-in-one Managed Threat Detection (XDR) for Microsoft 365 Defender offering works around the clock to detect and investigate cyber attacks at scale, serving up security incident management, remote response, threat hunting, as well as custom detection rules across all Defender modules.

Orange Cyberdefense and Microsoft say these new managed services will provide businesses with 24/7 threat detection and response, on top of access to one of EMEA’s largest security teams.

“Our global partner ecosystem is essential in helping customers achieve success with our solutions,” said Shirley Strachan, global partner development strategy leader at Microsoft Security.

“We are pleased to expand our collaboration with Orange Cyberdefense as they combine an extended knowledge of Microsoft offerings and a vision for ensuring the success of our customers in their security journey.”
