Cloud enablement consultancy Mobilise has announced it has become the first and only approved Amazon Web Services Managed Services (AMS) partner in the UK.

The move will see the Swansea-based company offer the service to organisations across the UK that are aiming to get started with the AMS platform.

AMS enables businesses to swiftly migrate to Amazon Web Services (AWS) at scale, which helps them to reduce costs while also improving compliance and security.

The service provides a secure AWS landing zone feature to meet multiple compliance programme requirements, as well as reduce operational overheads and risk.

Mobilise founder and CTO James Carnie said the firm was “really proud” to be the only approved AMS partner in the UK, and one of just 16 across the globe.

“This will allow us to deliver a highly personalised and bespoke service to our customers, who will receive all the benefits of the Amazon Web Services’ Enterprise Support, with the personal, hands-on support of our organisation,” Carnie said.

“This service also allows businesses to prioritise security, and with more businesses than ever working from home in light of the pandemic, this has never been more vital.”

Established in Swansea in 2014, Mobilise specialises in delivering enterprise-level development and cloud transformation to business and public sector organisations across the UK. The firm’s previous clients include the DVLA, Ministry of Justice, Admiral Insurance, the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as the Football Association Wales.

In recent months, Mobilise has also experienced a period of impressive growth and says it aims to grow its workforce by 40% in Q1 of this year.

“2021 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Mobilise, and we look forward to supporting businesses across the UK who want to prioritise agility and assurance this year,” Carnie added.
