Alibaba Cloud bolsters EMEA offering with nine partners
Cloud Temple, Equinix, EVA Group, Groupe Cyllene, among others join Alibaba Cloud
Alibaba Cloud has announced the expansion of its EMEA Ecosystem Partner Program, with the cloud computing and data intelligence specialist adding nine partners to the initiative.
First introduced last year, the programme aims to strengthen collaboration between Alibaba Cloud’s customers and partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, of which include Linkbynet, Ecritel, Micropole and Intel.
Those existing members are now joined by Cloud Temple, Equinix, EVA Group, Groupe Cyllene, GTI Software & Networking, PROJIXI Europe, SKALE-5, SMILE and Xebia.
By joining the program, Alibaba Cloud said the companies can facilitate the digital transformation of businesses in the region, especially those in the retail sector, by using its expertise in e-commerce, logistics and New Retail.
Partners can also tap into Alibaba’s business success and market insights to expand their presence in China under the “China Gateway” initiative, the firm added.
"We believe in leveraging our partners’ strengths to create a strong ecosystem for technologies and solution offerings,” said Yeming Wang, General Manager at Alibaba Cloud EMEA.
“By offering our state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure and advanced data intelligence services, together with our partners, we hope to accelerate companies’ digital transformation, and help them succeed globally in markets - especially in China.”
The infrastructure as a service provider is also furthering its commitment to nurturing young talents in cloud computing and big data by partnering with French Universities.
Following on from its partnership with Telecom ParisTech last year to introduce training for its students, Alibaba Cloud has now teamed up with SUPINFO International University, institute of information technology and computer sciences.
The pair will “work closely” on matters relating to course design, certification training, IT infrastructure building and cross border connectivity.
“Through the collaborations with local universities, Alibaba Cloud can bring our knowledge in cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence to students in France, which is essential to improving their competitive advantages in the workplace,” commented Kevin Liu, country manager at Alibaba Cloud France and South Europe.
