NetApp refreshes Unified Partner Programme
The firm looks to capitalise on market changes resulting from accelerated digital transformation to the cloud
NetApp has announced enhancements to its Unified Partner Programme as the hybrid cloud data services and data management provider looks to capitalise on market changes resulting from accelerated digital transformation to the cloud.
The refreshed programme expands the firm’s partner ecosystem, adding new financial incentives as well as introducing new solutions and Services Certified specialisations.
Available immediately, the company said the changes will provide partners with a more “flexible, consistent and simplified” experience that will prepare them for a planned transition to a new tiering structure next year.
“We are transforming our Unified Partner Programme and evolving its structure to make doing business with NetApp simpler and more profitable for our partners than ever before,” explained Chris Lamborn, Head of Global Partner GTM & Programs at NetApp.
“The latest updates are just the start of a multi-phase strategy to incentivise and reward our partners for their solution expertise, while delivering greater value to their customers.”
The revamped NetApp Unified Partner Program boasts an expanded partner ecosystem, with the initiative now including specialist partners that “sell, consume or influence” the NetApp portfolio, the firm revealed.
There are also now simplified incentives which have been streamlined to align with key initiatives and focus areas, while new partner rewards will recognise actions that drive deal closure as part of strategic programs – such as setting meetings and registering deals.
Elsewhere, NetApp said it has introduced new solution specialisations for Cloud Preferred, FlexPod, SAP, AI/ML, Data Protection, Data Security, Hosting Service Provider, Infrastructure, and Spot by NetApp Preferred. The pool of Services Certified Specialisations also now includes Integration Services Certified, Lifecycle Services Certified, and NetApp Keystone Services Certified.
Additionally, NetApp has redesigned its Partner Connect partner locator platform to improve the overall user experience and help customers find the right partner.
John Woodall, vice president of engineering at GDT, a long-time NetApp partner, said the improvements will make it easier to do businesses with the provider.
“Together, by offering a simpler experience, more flexibility and clear areas for our joint investment, these changes will enable us to further differentiate based on our expertise and contributions,” he said. “More importantly, it serves as a clear roadmap for our alignment with NetApp and the emerging roles of an OEM and their Partner community.”
