Nuvias bolsters cloud offering with Cloud Distribution buy

The distributor says the deal will accelerate its growth and expand its cloud services

Cloud handshake

Nuvias has announced the acquisition of Cloud Distribution in a move the UK specialist distributor says will accelerate its recent growth and expand its cloud offering.

Based in Reading, Berkshire, Cloud Distribution is a value-added distributor that specialises in cloud-first, innovative cyber security, networking and software as a service (SaaS) solutions.

“We are excited to welcome a new addition to the Nuvias family; Cloud Distribution’s specialism and highly skilled staff are invaluable assets to further accelerate our joint, continued success,” said Simon England, Nuvias Group CEO.

“Our philosophy and values are a perfect fit, as we share the same focus on partner growth and exceptional customer service.”

The acquisition builds on Nuvias’ strong progress in 2020, the firm says, and will offer partners greater access to emerging cloud technologies.

“Nuvias gains a focused early engagement specialist, extending the group’s ability to operate earlier in the technology lifecycle driving opportunities with emerging and new technology providers,” England added.

Founded in 2009, Cloud Distribution specialises in engaging with new and emerging technology providers and helping its partner community create new revenue streams.

The firm has built up a considerable portfolio of market-disrupting vendors that it works with, including Ava Security, Pulse Secure, Extreme Networks, Arista, Acronis and more.

Nuvias says the addition will help the business act as a launch ramp for emerging technologies and vendors, while it also promises to drive scalable support with Tech Segment leaders.

Post-acquisition, Cloud Distribution will continue to operate as its own business, run by its existing leadership setup.

“Joining forces with the Nuvias Group provides a significant acceleration platform for what Cloud Distribution does best, as we become part of a leading European growth-focused VAD with scalable services propositions,” commented Greg Harris, CEO at Cloud Distribution.

“Our strengths and competencies complement each other well, allowing us to address both emerging and mature market players and intercept the opportunity offered by important IT trends, such as XaaS and the move to the Cloud, accelerated by the mass remote working practices.”
