Okta has unveiled a new partner programme that gives partners the flexibility to decide how they offer their solutions to end users.

The company said its new initiative offers "competitive discounts" and specialisations in services delivery and managed services, all supported by resources including training and tools.

It will also provide new opportunities through the company's Okta Integration Network, a suite of more than 3,000 app integrations that enhance the Okta experience. For select partners, the new programme will enable them to use Okta Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication for up to 25 employees and five apps for free - offering extra value for those demonstrating the most loyalty.

Okta explained its aims is to help tech and solutions partners educate their customers about the most relevant services and products for them, with specialists in different industry verticals, business functions and product areas so partners can be more aligned with their customer needs.

"Identity management and security are top priorities for organisations of every size and industry and Okta technology is used by enterprise customers to manage identity for their users," said Patrick McCue, Okta's senior vice president of worldwide partners.

"Partners are a core part of Okta’s business, allowing us to reach more customers and enable them to leverage the Okta Identity Cloud for seamless and secure user experiences for their organisations."

McCue added that the introduction of Okta Partner Connect allows Okta to further develop relationships with partners, ensuring it can offer them the support they need to grow their business through enhanced tools.

"Disruption from the Internet of Things, cloud and mobility is challenging traditional enterprise security, enforcing the need for organizations to build sustainable, risk-centric foundations for implementing identity access management," added Bryan Wiese, global vice president of advisory services at Optiv.

"A successful IAM programme should be approached strategically and by evaluating current needs, business drivers and risks. Partnering with leading technology companies like Okta enables Optiv to provide holistic solutions that meet our clients’ needs for seamless and secure user experiences while allowing them to optimise their IAM programmes and minimise long-term risk. We are pleased to be part of the new Okta Partner Connect program, and look forward to further expanding our relationship with Okta as we help clients progress their digital transformations.”
