Enterasys Networks signs Cloud Distribution for security play

Shaking hands

Siemens Enterprise has signed up Cloud Distribution to push its Enterasys Networks’ OneFabric Security Access Management portfolio across the UK and Ireland.

According to Mark Pearce, EMEA director channels and alliances, the firm is happy with its agreement with Arrow that manage around 20 partners predominately within its networking space but it expects to sign up around “five to ten [new partners through Cloud distribution] within 12 months.”

VAD Cloud Distribution will focus on Enterasysbranded OneFabric security solutions through an enhanced Advantage Partner Programme, creating a new category of partner focused on Mobile IAM, Network Access Control and Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM) products. However, the deal does not cover Intrusion Detection and prevention (IDS/IPS) or any network switching.

“We have witnessed the need for greater security and network access control focus within the reseller channel,” explains Pearce, “Cloud Distribution’s sustained growth and growing vendor portfolio makes them a great VAD to distribute our security portfolio and to explore further revenue streams.”

Cloud Distribution’s Adam Davison adds: “Being selected by Enterasys as the company’s dedicated security channel partner for the UK underscores our reputation as a serious player in this market - not only for our understanding of the security eco-system, but for the value-add services we deliver to help our vendors and reseller grow their businesses.”

The deal also complements parts of Cloud Distribution’s portfolio including a recent agreement with MDM vendor Fiberlink and secure mobile file sharing supplier Talon Storage Solutions.
