Samsung reveals Printer Partner Programme
New Samsung printer partner programme unveiled in UK ahead of European launch.
Samsung has today unveiled a Printer Partner Programme in the UK, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, with plans to extend the programme across Europe by 2010.
Samsung takes its printing hardware, supplies and software to market through a network of resellers, and has set some ambitious growth targets.
Says Anthony Penton, head of marketing, UK Printing Division, Samsung Electronics: “We are making real progress towards our goal of becoming a leader in the office printing market by 2013, and this is in no small part thanks to our existing channel relationships.”
He adds: “Our increased market share and number one position in the European A4 Colour Multifunction Printer Segment is testimony to this. As satisfying as this success is, we need to continue to strengthen our channel relationships, so that both Samsung and our partners thrive and grow in this competitive market.”
Back in February, Channel Pro reported that Samsung was planning an overhaul of its UK partner programme. The new programme is structured around three tiers which are dependent upon defined business targets.
Registered Partners can register the company on the Printer Partner Portal, and then will have access to Samsung’s sales tools, marketing campaigns, online training and regular communications. With increased commitment to business targets, Gold Partnership rewards resellers with additional benefits including revenue rebates, and support in the form of cooperative marketing funds and sales training. The third level, Premium Partner, is rewarded with the most comprehensive benefits, including greater financial incentives and a dedicated account manager.
Samsung says its training programme now offers modules delivered through a network of Samsung classrooms and solution centres, as well as the Samsung e-Learning System.
Samsung has also developed an online gateway called the Printer Partner Portal. The portal provides a range of resources from product information and training tools, to co-branded marketing materials and business planning templates.
